Object type: Pillar

Material: Stone type unknown

Dimensions: H 2.13 × W 0.64 × D 0.18 m

Condition: The bottom of the stone is broken off and ‘the last two letters of the first name are broken, but enough remains for complete certainty’ (Macalister 1945, 123). Macalister (1945, 123-124) noted that all of MAQI was ‘carried away by fracture, except for the proximal ends of the Q and I’

Inscription

Text field: The layout of the inscription is unusual, as Macalister (1945, 123) described: ‘It begins in the middle of the sinister angle, and runs down to the bottom: then crosses to the bottom of the dexter angle and runs up and on to the top’. Macalister (1945, 124) also states: ‘The last three letters of the last name are on the top of the stone’.
