Dimensions: H 2.13 × W 0.65 × D 0.15 m

Condition: The stone remains in situ but the inscription is no longer legible.

Inscription

Text field: A rectangular stone with the long axis NNW-SSE. As Macalister (1945, 72) noted, the inscription is found ‘low down on the dexter angle of the face turned away from the road’.

Letters: Macalister (1945, 72) describes ‘a damaged inscription in minute scores’, suggesting that the inscription was likely scored. He also notes ‘some marks before the C, but they cannot be explained as remains of letters’. Possible ogham strokes surviving are just 2-3cm in length.
