Provenance

Discovery: Discovered in the vicinity of three other ogham stones (I-COR-069, I-COR-070, I-COR-071) but unlike them it was not removed from the locality (Quarry 1898, 382). Macalister (1945, 119) found it ‘lying in the farmyard of Monataggart’. When he returned to check it, he ‘found the stone completely covered with farm rubbish’ (Macalister 1945, 119).

Findspot: Monataggart (Móin an tSagairt), Co. Cork, Ireland (ITM Coordinates: 545879, 580808)

Last recorded location(s): When inspected last, this stone was lying beside a field fence close to the farmyard.
