Provenance

Discovery: Discovered by 1879, located on the NE side of the cairn. One of three ogham stones (I-COR-083, I-COR-085) flanking a low cairn which marks a penitential station (CO058-039002-).

Findspot: Shanacloon (An tSeanchluain), Co. Cork, Ireland (ITM Coordinates (approximate): 520703, 576557)

Condition: An upright stone, described by Macalister (1945, 130) as ‘in section a flattish oval’. O’Kelly (1952, 38) describes the inscription as faint.

Text field: A one-worded inscription occupies one edge of the stone. According to Macalister (1945, 130), ‘there is no indication that there was ever any more writing on the stone.’
